HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) is the practice and study of martial arts, mainly of European origin, particularly using disciplines and treatises formerly practised, but having since died out, or evolved into very different forms.

A growing pastime, popular amongst martial artists, history enthusiasts, performers and hobbyists alike.

The Saltaire Academy of the Sword is a friendly club specialising in the following styles: Rapier, Sidesword, Sabre and Longsword.

 

We meet every Wednesday*, from 20.00 to 22.00 at Victoria Hall in Saltaire, Bradford.

 

New members are very welcome. Please contact Stephen to arrange your FREE introductory session. Basic equipment is provided for new beginners. Participants must 18 years or over (16 to 18 accompanied by a parent or guardian).
